If you are a couple with heavy careers, which takes a lot of your time, make sure you use your free time or quiet time in a suitable way.
If you both work weekdays, try to have a quiet night in. Put out some fine wine, reduce the lighting a little and cook something new. This not only gives you the chance to seduce your partner with the ‘finer’ things in life, but also gives a discussion point for during the food and drink.
When both couples work full time, it’s not always easy to organise time together. If you know you have a weekend free together, do something special and different.
A good idea is to organise a night away. Plan ahead, organising the hotel or bed and breakfast in advance. Make sure you know the directions in advance. A romantic break would not be the same with an argument on the journey to the accommodation.
Make a reservation in advance of arrival at a fine and ‘swanky’ restaurant. But make sure that you will both enjoy the food.
If you stay in a seaside resort, go for a quiet walk along the sea front after the meal. This will lighten your stomachs before returning to the hotel and will wake you and your partner up for the night ahead!
Pick one night a week to spend some quality time together. Friday or Saturday night is usually a good night, as you can do something lively and not have to worry about work in the morning.
However, if you have children, this can be a difficult task. Utilise good friends and close family who could have your children over to sleep. If not once a week, try a regular amount of time.
